MBLGTACC 2008
27 02 2008This year's MBLGTACC (Midwest Bisexual, Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, Ally, College Conference) was held at the University of Illinois - Urbana/Champaign. The conference's purpose is to encourage and promote diversity, activism and network development among LGBTQA students, staff and faculty throughout the regional Midwest. The conference, created by students for students, serves as an open forum for education and awareness of issues that affect the LGBTQA community.
One accomplishment of this year's conference was the creation of a collaborative Michigan Organization of GLBTQA campus groups; the Michigan Campus Alliance. This group will provide a platform for communication and collaboration for a unified force for equality & social change.
